PESYDAP's 4th Local Activity

PESYDAP's 4th Local Activity was organized at 20.04.2015. Local stakeholders that participated in the Local  Activity  evaluated  the  results  of  the  3rd  International  Event.  Additionally, opinions were expressed regarding to the performance of PESYDAP as a partner - leader and  to  the  viability  of  the  environmental  network.  Conditions  of  public  access  to  environmental  information,  public  participation  in  the  decision  - making  procedure  and  follow  up  were  ensured  as  well.
Summarizing, the participants

(a) Welcomed the excellent organization, the exemplary coordination of the  international delegations and the production of effective scientific work
(b) Thanked the City - partner's
Mayors and staff for their commitment to making the project successful.
(c) Evaluated good environmental policy practices and examined the prospects of incorporating them into PESYDAP's strategic planning.
(d) Declared their will to support the network and ensure its viability.

PESYDAP's 3rd Local Activity

PESYDAP's 3rd Local Working Group Meeting was successfully implemented at 30.03.2015. The Local Activity was the culmination of smaller scale activities that were organized by PESYDAP in the period preceding the 3rd Local  Working  Group  Meeting. The  Local  stakeholders  that  participated  in  the  Local  Activity  assessed  the  results  of  the  2nd  International  Event.  Additionally,  opinions  were  expressed  regarding  to  the  direction  and  the  shape  of  the  environmental  network  and  to  the  index  of the next International event's agenda and its objectives. In this context PESYDAP's ELAIN committee introduced its suggestions regarding to the organization, the objectives and the expected results of the 3rd International Event. The final decision was enriched by the comments of the local stakeholders. Conditions of public  access to environmental information and public participati on in the decision  - making  procedure  were  ensured  as  well.  The  3rd  Local  Activity was covered  by  local  media  and  therefore  the  conditions  of  raising  environmental  awareness  among  the  general  public  and  the  dissemination  of  the  project’s goals  were satisfied.

PESYDAP's 2nd Local Activity

At 02.10.2014 PESYDAP organized successfully its 2nd Local  Working  Group  Meeting. In this context, local stakeholders assessed the  results   of   the   1st   International   Event.  Additionally,   opinions   were   expressed  regarding to the direction  of the environmental network and to the index  of the next  International  event’s agenda  and  its  objectives. Especially, the comments that were made by representatives of  countries partner's Embassies provided added value in the approach.

Emphasis was given to civil protection policies. The reasoning was linked to flooding phenomena, in response to the environmental disaster that occurred  in  the  Balkans  because  of  heavy  rainfalls.

Conditions  of  public  access  to  environmental information and public  participation in the decision - making procedure  were  ensured  as  well.  The  2nd  Local Activity was  covered  by  local  media  and  therefore  the  conditions  of  raising  environmental  awareness  among  the  general public and the dissemination of the project ’ s goals were satisfied.

PESYDAP, 1st Local Activity


PESYDAP successfully organized the first local event, on 24th February, at the hall of Korydallos Municipals Council, in the frame of ELAIN project (Environmental Local Authorities Interbalkan Network).

The event was opened by the vice president of PESYDAP, Mr. Demosthenes Stamatatos, who presented the objectives of the local event, and also mentioned the significant success of PESYDAP, as the project submitted to the European Union was rated as the 7th best to fund for current programming period.
